5 Star Communications exist to serve the communities of where we are located. We are here to offer a voice for the listeners of our stations so that they may be informed and kept up to date on the latest news and events that affect our listeners. We strive to give our listeners a steady voice in tough times, and we also strive to share in our listeners' celebrations. That is why we want to be where you go when you need to know. Our dedication to the local news and weather will provide our community a sense of pride, and a sense of preparedness.
5 Star Communications also exist to help our communities by offering competitive advertising, as we believe in the "Shop Local" mentality. Our advertisers expect us to offer great service, and in return, we will provide a voice for them to reach their potential consumers. 5 Star Communications is dedicated to providing great service for our clients and helping them reach their highest goals.

We are committed to helping our community become an enjoyable place to visit by providing great entertainment through our airwaves, and through our events that we host. We are dedicated to promoting our communities through our advertisements and through our sponsorships of local events. 5 Star Communications is a believer in having a great time through our programs that we offer, and through the music that we provide. We will continuously make available our radio personalities to further our ideals of being a fun and entertaining aspect of the community.

We as a communication provider will always strive to keep up to date on technology as it is aways evolving. As we become aware of such advances, we will strive to work towards providing our community a way to become involved in the ever-growing technology. By allowing us to serve the communities with advance technology, we will become the place you need to go when you need to know.
At 5 Star Communications, we strive to being local, family-friendly, fun, entertaining, and up to date technologically. We strive to be where you need to go when you need to know.
Everything we sell is brand new. We start all bidding at 50% off it's retail value. We do have minimum bid increases:

Because we feature so many different items on each auction program, we put time limits on gift certificates and items. If we say an item will be sold in 10 minutes, we'll take all bids for 10 minutes and then when the phone lines die down, we will sell each item. This enables long-distance callers to get their final bids in.
PICK EM UP:
Anyone who purchases items on our auction has 10 days to stop out to 5 Star Communications (KVHT/KVTK) Studios to pick up and pay for your auction items. In the event you do not pick up your items, you will be excluded from future auctions. And if your thinking about stopping out the following day, wait until after 9:30 AM so we can accurately sort items for you. Otherwise, normal business hours are from 8-5 Monday-Friday.

• To Play: No purchase Necessary • Eligibility: Participation open to legal residents of the United States, except employees of KVHT/KVTK Radio, Five Star Communications, Inc.; their affiliates, suppliers, participating advertising/promotion agencies, and family members of anyone so employed. • Limitations: One prize per name, address or household, per 4 week period. Five Star Communications, Inc. is not responsible for contestants’ inability to complete a call at a specified time whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines or other circumstances. All participants are bound by these rules. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners must come to our studio within three (3) days with proof of age, identity and to execute affidavits of eligibility, indemnification and release. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of prize. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. • Release: Participation constitutes permission for Five Star Communications, Inc. without any further obligation to the contest winner, to use the winner’s name, address and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade. Winner (and guest) must release Five Star Communications, Inc., KVHT/KVTK Radio and their affiliates, successors, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any affiliates, subcontractors, employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of any of the above organizations, from and against any and all claims for losses or damages sustained by said winners, arising our of participation in the contests or acceptance or use of the prize. • All prizes are non-transferable with no cash substitutions except that Five Star Communications, Inc. reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable or greater value or to adjust details as needed. • Major Prize winners of prizes/merchandise must submit their Social Security numbers as Five Star Communications must file a W-4 for any give-away valued over $600.00. • Winners’ List: For the name of a Major Contest Winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Five Star Communications, Inc. 210 West 3rd St., Yankton, SD 57078
